Ways to Exfoliate

A lot of people ask how to exfoliate your skin.

There are so many exfoliation methods. This is one of my favorite parts of doing things naturally, because you get to use a lot of items that you already have in your kitchen. Most of the recipes are simple, containing only a few ingredients, and anyone can do them.

Why is it so important?

  • It helps remove dead skin cells

While this might seem like a Captain Obvious answer, getting rid of dead skin cells is important and beneficial for your skin's health. Dead skin cells are able to take the moisture right from your healthy skin causing it to dry out, become brittle, and age faster. Not only that, but in acne cases, dead skin gets trapped in the oils that the sebaceous glands produce, making your breakouts worse than they have to be.

  • It helps even skin tone and reduce age spots

If you get rid of that dead layer of skin, the melanin has less of a chance to cluster and form, meaning your skin tone will be more even and age spots will be less apparent.

For Sensitive Skin

Just because you have sensitive skin does not mean you can't get rid of the dead skin cells! It's true, there are some harsh methods around, but there are also gentle methods that you are able to use to keep your skin looking perfect.
