Natural Warts Treatment
There may be a natural warts treatment that works for you, and it is certainly worth a try.Warts are usually pretty unsightly and can also be uncomfortable. They often seem random and appear unexpectedly.
What Is A Wart?
Warts are a bumpy, often rough, hard lump that appear on the skin.Warts are caused by a virus. There is more than one type of virus that causes warts, and they can easily enter the body through cuts or openings in the skin. They can remain dormant within the body for long periods, and some can even survive outside of a host body for a very long time! It almost feels as though there is no escape!
Types of Warts
Warts come in different forms, and while some may not be a problem, others can be painful, uncomfortable, in awkward places that get knocked about or just plain ugly and annoying!Sometimes it is where the wart is on the body that makes it a problem or not. You can find out more about what Warts are plus a description of the many types of warts here in Wikipedia, along with photos.
Treatment for Warts
There are many possible warts treatments. Some of them will be effective and others will not. It may depend on the Type of Wart you have as to whether the treatment works. Some of them take time and persistence, so it can also depend on whether you can wait to see if the treatment works. But if you are wanting to avoid harsh chemicals and expensive medical treatments it is worth giving a natural wart treatment a chance. SOME HOME REMEDIES FOR WARTS Banana Peel - I really don't know if this works as a warts treatment, but I have heard about this for years. Cut a piece of banana peel to fit over the wart. Place on the wart with the inside of the peel touching the wart, cover so as to hold in place, e.g. with a sticking plaster. Leave for a few days. Maybe smelly? Certainly cheap to do. Effective? - worth a try?Lemon Essential Oil - apply directly to the wart very carefully each night. Simply touch a bit of Lemon oil on to the wart. It may take as many as ten applications before you see a result.Lavender Essential Oil or Tea Tree Oil - either of these can be applied directly to the problem as they can be safely used without dilution. These can be particularly effective against Verrucas / Plantar Warts / Ingrown Warts. With a Verruca it is important to soak the foot each night so the area around the wart does not dry out and become hard. You can then gently scrape the top of the wart to remove any bits that have died as a result of treatment. Then re-apply the Lemon, Lavender or Tea Tree. These warts can be highly contagious so practice good hygiene, hand washing and cover the wart each day to prevent spreading. Garlic Oil - this can be applied to the wart nightly. Again, it is may be worth trying.Aloe Vera Gel - peel an Aloe Vera leaf and place a piece over the wart. Hold in place with a sticking plaster and leave a couple of days. Repeat a couple of times to see if there is any difference. In general it is helpful to soak the wart each day to soften it. Do this before applying any treatment to allow better penetration into the wart.Eat more Vitamin C, Garlic and Vitamin E - it is thought that increasing these in your diet can help your body combat the viral infection.Cinnamon Leaf Oil - always use diluted in a Carrier Oil - 8-12 drops of essential oils per 1 ounce of carrier oil. Apply to the wart daily and cover.
