Blackhead Removal

Blackhead removal requires regular treatment to ensure you get rid of the blackheads in a way that does not damage your skin, and lessens the chance of them reappearing.

You can find out more about Acne here.

Removal of Blackheads

You may choose to remove the blackheads by squeezing your skin, or by using a blackhead removal tool.

In some cases this is necessary if the blackheads are quite large and visible. It should help speed up the process of treatment as the blockage in the pore has been removed.

However, you need to take care doing this as you can end up with scarring, marks on the skin, and in some cases holes left in your skin.

Professional beauty therapists are known to use this method at times, so it is not unheard of. But as with all skincare it is good to treat both the cause and the symptom.

BLACKHEAD REMOVAL TOOLS

Getting Rid Of Blackheads

Below is a natural blackhead treatment that should help keep your blackheads under control without the need for squeezing.

If you regularly treat your skin you should find a decrease in the size and number of blackheads forming.

MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE PROPERLY!

And as I have personally discovered, good lighting, a magnifying mirror and a good pair of glasses, can be your best friend when it comes to blackheads!

Natural Blackhead Treatment

For effective treatment of the existing problem, as well as making sure you get rid of blackheads permanently, you need to treat your skin with this recipe once a week.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 3 drops Lemon essential oil
  • 3 drops Cypress essential oil
  • 4 drops Geranium essential oil
  • A bowl of steaming hot water.

    WHAT TO DO:

  • Drop the oils into the bowl of hot water.
  • Lean over the bowl so the steam rises onto your face, taking care not to get the steam in your eyes.
  • Keep your face in the steam for approx. 5 minutes. The oils have an astringent detoxifying effect that will help rid your skin of the excess oil (sebum) causing the blackheads.
  • Wipe your face dry to remove the steam and sebum.
  • Then splash your face with cold water, while it is still warm, to help close the pores.

    Exfoliation

It is also helpful to exfoliate your skin about 2-3 times a week.

Really simple household ingredients such as oatmeal, coffee grounds and buttermilk can provide a cheap, effective and gentle scrub.

You can find out about EXFOLIATION for all skin types here.
