Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)

Its Benefits, Foods That Contain It, and Recipes

Coenzyme Q10 or more commonly referred to as CoQ10 is an ingredient that is becoming increasingly popular in cosmetics and anti aging products.

But what is it exactly?

How you get it naturally

CoQ10 Recipe

It is a natural occurring substance that is present in many of our cells. It helps in the aerobic cellular respiration to help generate energy and good health in our organs. It also acts as a powerful antioxidant protecting our cells from free radicals and over exposure to oxygen.

As we age (starting around 20 years old) this substance decreases in production and can lead to problems with larger organs like the heart, liver and skin.

Many people think that there’s some big secret as how you can get CoQ10, but really it’s pretty simple, you can get it through the foods you eat, through a supplemental vitamin or topically if applied with a good carrier oil.
