Natural Acne Products

All the Best Herbal Remedies Available

If you are looking for natural acne products, there is a ton of acne treatment available and it almost seems overwhelming.

I did a lot of research finding out the best options, you don't need laser acne treatment to have beautiful skin.

If you haven’t checked out the prevention section it’s a good idea to do so.

It will help to prevent future breakouts and stop new acne from forming while you are treating your current condition.

These acne treatments are all the best herbal remedies available!

Aloe Vera (Fresh)

Many people know Aloe Vera to be of help with sunburn, but as it turns out, it’s also one of the great natural acne products.

How does it help? It lessens redness, it is a natural astringent, kills the acne causing bacteria, reduces inflammation and relieves the pain that some people may experience.

If you have a fresh aloe plant, you just break open the leaves, squeeze out the liquid and apply it to your face, you can let it sit for 10-15 minutes then wipe it off.

If you don’t happen to have an aloe plant handy, you’ll want to get yourself some pure aloe vera gel, you can even use it as a face product!

You will find a recipe for an Acne Mask Treatment using Aloe Vera here.

Balm Mint (aka Lemon Balm)

I have a lot of this growing in my back yard, it's like getting free natural acne products!

I knew there were many uses for it, but was unaware that it was good for acne, until I did my research.

It helps to cut back on the oil in your skin, it’s anti-bacterial and an antioxidant. Meaning, if you use it to clean your face it will kill off all of the bad bacteria, and help keep free radicals away (free radicals are environmental elements that harm the skin).

Burdock Root

This was something that I thought I had never heard of before. When in reality, I knew exactly what it was.

These grow wildly in the summer, and most people just consider them weeds and cut them down while mowing their lawn.

This particular root ingested will cleanse the body of toxins, creating a healthy digestive tract.

Applied topically it is an anti-bacterial effective of getting rid of the acne-causing bacteria your skin holds. Another one of the great natural acne products.

Many people know this to be in teas as a great way to relax and feel better when you are sick. It’s true; it has great properties that soothe a sick person, but these aren’t it’s only benefits!

So what can it offer as far as natural acne products go? It is an anti-septic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and it’s an anti-allergenic.

By using it on your skin it helps get rid of the bacteria, prevents it from growing, helps keep your skin clear and free of free radicals!

How to use for acne treatments; act as if you are making a very strong chamomile tea, apply the liquid to your face or body, leave on for a few minutes then rinse off for a great acne damage skin treatment.

This is such an incredible spice and one of my all-time favorites to use for an acne treatment and cooking! It holds so many benefits.

One of the best things is if taken internally.

Simply take ½ teaspoon a day mixed with something else like a tablespoon of honey.

  • DO NOT try to take it alone – it regulates blood sugar and insulin levels. As I mentioned earlier insulin levels can be a cause of acne, because it increases the production of male hormones that produce oil. Cinnamon also inhibits bacterial growth, so if used topically it will create nice clean skin, and reduce whatever body acne you have. NATURAL ACNE PRODUCTS: BODY ACNE TREATMENT WHAT YOU NEED

  • Echinacea

This is also known as a cone flower, a lot of times these grow in the wild, but people do enjoy having them as decoration.

I bet that they didn’t know about the benefits these babies pack!

You can take it internally which will boost your immune system and activate T-Cells, creating less of an environment for toxins (if you have HIV, AIDS, TB, or MS it is advised not to use this).

Applied externally it is anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. It helps to reduce skin inflammations and works great for acne treatments because it reduces the swelling and redness associated with it.

    Grape Seed

A natural anti-oxidant, it protects from free-radicals which cause skin damage, as well as boosting your immune system with polyphenols, its strength is 20 times more than Vitamin C!

If applied topically it is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory.

It also helps to preserve the elasticity of the skin, keeping it looking young and fresh.

If you are lucky you might be able to find this in an oil bottle form. However, they are few and far between.

Your best bet is to get gel capsules, break them open and apply to your problem areas. This is one of the natural acne products that is great as an acne teenager treatment or for adult acne care.

    Green Tea

I love drinking green tea, it’s delicious, warming, and keeps away colds, but it’s also great for your skin and acne treatments!

Green tea has been shown to boost your skins ability to reverse sun damage, by blocking free-radicals and reducing inflammation.

Reducing inflammation is a huge part in getting rid of your acne – as that is what it is, inflamed skin due to blocked pores.

This combined with a twice weekly exfoliation process works really well.

    Irish Moss

Also goes by; Pearl Moss, Carrahan , Caragahen, Carragaheen

This is a form of seaweed, many people know that seaweed has many benefits as far as staying healthy, boosting your metabolism and reducing cellulite. But, it also keeps your skin healthy by keeping it soft and supple; it’s also an anti-inflammatory and contains Vitamin A.

There have been many studies that show higher amounts of Vitamin A have been effective in reducing acne.

Many practitioners will prescribe high doses of Vitamin A to their patients; this natural version is no prescription needed and all-natural.

Also a form of seaweed, it contains Vitamins A, B12, D and iodine which all help the skin to be healthy and have a nice glow.

It will detox your system if taken internally, cleaning out all the bad junk that may be penetrating your skin.

While detoxing your system it balances out the pH levels in your body, creating a healthy environment for all of your organs – including the largest one of all ; the skin, so this makes the list of natural acne products.

    Linden Flower

This is a very beneficial herb to take internally. It supports your digestive tract, getting rid of all the nasty crap that would normally stick in there.

It also supports your immune system so that your whole body stays healthy.

One of the best things about this is that it reduces stress. If you let stress build up then it causes your oil glands to produce too much oil, which will clog your pores.

Another benefit of this great herb is that it is anti-inflammatory, so it will help the current acne be less red and less swollen.

    Olive Leaf Extract

Olives have always been known to be healthy for your body, and now more than ever olives have come into the spotlight for all sorts of skin care. Olive oil is particularly well known for its natural skincare benefits.

This particular part of the olive tree (the olive leaf) is fantastic because it stimulates the connective tissue; it is anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal.

This seems to be one of the best natural acne products.

Many people have said that they used this and it showed great results, but that they aren’t ‘permanent’ so every few months they had to do a 1 month period of using it.

It also should not be taken with any antibiotics as it has been shown to disrupt their process.

People who take this in large quantities detox their system, and by doing so it makes you much healthier, however, during a detox you may experience flu-like symptoms that disappear within a day or two and are nothing to be concerned about.

Mmm I love peppermint tea; it is so refreshing and uplifting.

Turns out, I’m doing my body a huge favor by drinking this! It is antiseptic, immune boosting and anti-bacterial.

To top it off it also relieves muscle pains and can help with an upset stomach.

You can take it internally or apply it topically to get rid of the bacteria that build up on your skin.

What a delicious treat for an acne damage skin treatment.

    Pine Bark

This was not something that I ever would have thought of before as one of the natural acne products when I began research.

Pine bark? Really? But it’s really good for you, it contains a ton of antioxidants, it fights of free radicals (the bad stuff in the elements that causes acne, pre-mature aging, and more) and it prevents collagen destruction so it keeps your skin nice, smooth, and young looking.

Sage is a great acne damage skin treatment.

It's a popular spice to cook with; I use it frequently when making chicken and other poultry. But used as a skin care product it is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory.

It will get rid of all of the bad bacteria, leaving behind the good stuff, help keep any fungal infections away, keep your skin glowing and reduce any inflammation present.

After reading up on all of the benefits, this has to be the most beneficial herb out there for acne damage skin treatments.

It contains a high concentration of natural Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E, it can regenerate cell tissue, it destroys free radicals, enhances immune activity and protects from UV rays.

Combining this with a nice Dead Sea salt or oatmeal honey scrub twice a week would be most beneficial for your skin.

    Tea Tree

I use this in hand creams to help dry cracked skin, or on poison Ivy/oak, it’s highly repairing to the skin and mixed with a little water is a great hand wash.

It is very antibacterial and Burt’s Bees even uses it in their new instant hand sanitizer. It gets rid of fungus, bacteria, and viral infections.

It has also been shown to help some people who seem to be resistant to antibiotics. This along with aloe to reduce redness would be a great alternative to many other acne treatments.

Homemade Bath Salts are another of the natural acne products.
