Sugar Scrub Recipe

Are you ready for a really sweet skin treat?!

This is a homemade sugar scrub recipe that you can make from the convenience of your own kitchen!

For added benefits you can add 1-2 drops of essential oils to the mixture.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1 cup of brown or regular refined sugar (finely ground).
If it is not finely ground you can stick it in a blender or food processor for a second or two (be careful, if you grind it too much it turns into powder!)
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite oil (olive, sweet almond or jojoba work best)
  • A few drops of vitamin E if you would like added moisture

WHAT TO DO:

  • Mix ingredients together until it forms a paste.

  • Now you have an exfoliating and moisturizing facial scrub or body scrub that makes use of the natural crystals. This is great for any skin type.

  • Then apply on the face or body and rub in circular motions for 30-60 seconds then rinse.

This is great for people who have sensitive skin, as it is not a harsh scrub like others can be. The crystals are finely ground so as to be gentle, and they also dissolve as you go.

This mixture is best used in the shower where it is easily rinsed off.

    ADDED BENEFITS

For added benefits you can add 1-2 drops of essential oils to the mixture.

    DRY SKIN:

  • Carrot Seed
  • Rose
  • German Chamomile

    DRY SKIN WITH ACNE:

  • Lavender
  • Clary Sage
  • Rose (Geranium)

    OILY SKIN:

  • Cedarwood
  • Grapefruit
  • Peppermint

    ACNE (Blemishes):

  • Tea Tree
  • Lemon (Myrtle)
  • Thyme

    BLACKHEADS:

  • Coriander
  • Peppermint
  • Lemongrass

    COMBINATION SKIN:

  • Geranium
  • Ylang-Ylang
  • Rosewood

    NORMAL SKIN:

  • Jasmine
  • Lavender
  • Rose

Now you can make your own exfoliating facial scrub and body scrub. All this with such simple, available ingredients for a really sweet skin treatment!

Remember to only use 1-2 drops of essential oil (if you choose to use it) in this mixture or it will overpower everything and be an unpleasant experience.
